MINUTES OF GENERAL BODY MEETING HELD IN MARIGOLD HOTEL, HYDERABAD VIRTUALY ON 30TH OCTOBER 2021

1. Election results – Bi-Annual Elections were held but there was no requirement for voting as all posts were uncontested. Brigadier Kukreja announced the results of Elections which is indicated as below-

2. Membership update-We have reached a figure of 577 members

3. Research Grant – Two grants of Rs. 2 lakhs each was given Dr Ashima Dabas [Maulana AzadDelhi] and to Dr Ravindra Shukla (AIIMS Jodhpur). Research grants for next year was discussed in detail and it was decided to increase the number of grants from 2 to 4 and each grant money from Rs. 2 lakhs to Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

4. State Chapter- Hyderabad and others in progress The required information and other documentation for forming new chapter has been intimated to Hyderabad and all states wanting to start their own chapters.

5. Finance Update – There have been hardly any programmes this year except Ominicuris. Wehaveopened an account in Yes Bank to take advantage of better interest rates and opened Demat account for investment in Govt. securities and PSU’s Brig Kukreja briefly summarized updates on account in Yes Bank and also informed about the investments
6. FCRA Account – Brig Kukreja informed that application is under process and they have extended its validity till 31st December as they have not been able to complete the process.
7 ISBMR 2022 Venue – PGI Chandigarh under the umbrella of Dr Sanjay Bhadada had requested for 18th ISBMR conference 2022 and it was approved in the meeting
8. FLS Update Dr Manoj Chadda informed that 10 centers will be in place for FLS and he will co-ordinate withIOA(Indian Orthopedic Association)
9. Dr Mithal suggested to have an ISBMR Statement on food fortification of Vitamin DIt was discussed and Dr Marwaha has agreed to draft and submit one page statement.
