Minutes of the Annual General Body Meeting conducted at Hotel WestinChennai on 10th Feb 2024

1. Dr. Sushil Gupta, provided an update regarding the 20th Annual Conference of the ISBMR. Around 150 delegates attended the conference. Twenty one National and international speakers deliberated on various topics of their expertise. Moreover, 22 posters and 6 platform presentations (oral) were presented during the meeting.

2. Mrs. Hema and Dr. Sudhaker D. Rao Bone and Mineral Research Legacy Fund: to provide opportunities to gain advanced training in emerging areas of metabolic bone diseases and utilize them for work in India. This fellowship programme in collaboration with Henry Ford Health is currently under the consideration of ISBMR and going to be started soon.

3. Account statement – Soham Mukherjee presented the account statement, and that was approved by all.

4. Dr. Soham Mukherjee also apprised all the members regarding the 21st annual conference of ISBMR which would be held in Mysore on 25th and 26th October, 2025 under the leadership of Dr. Lakshmi Nagendra.

5. Regarding 22nd annual conference of ISBMR to be held in 2026 – Bids were there from 3 centres. Finally it was decided unanimously to offer the same provisionally to Dr. Vivek Arya from Ahmedabad. He was requested by Dr. Sushil Gupta to make a proposal for the same addressing the logistic issues required to arrange a national conference and email it to the ISBMR. The ISBMR executive committee would take final decision based on the submitted proposal.
