IOF Certified Bone Densitometery Course

The IOF Bone Densitometry Workshops were conducted on Sep 29 and Sep 30 2011. The meeting was held at Taj Coromandel Hotel.The IOF faculty Dr. Heinrich Resch and Dr. Manju Chandran conducted the sessions exceptionally well. The opening remarks were provided by Dr.Usha Sriram, the Organizing Secretary of the ISBMR. Dr. Raman Marwaha President of the ISBMR was also present throughout the workshop.

The complete spectrum of osteoporosis was discussed in detail with special emphasis on bone densitometry. The science, the methodology ,the interpretations and the pitfalls and management were discussed. The registrants for the workshop had orthopedic surgeons, orthopedics post graduates, one radiologist, internists, internal medicine post graduates, rhematologists, endocrinologists and five osteoporosis clinical research coordinators. The IOF workshop concluded with the written test and the questions were discussed by Dr Manju Chandran in detail.
