Currently, he is the Professor & Head of Dept. of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur, Chennai and started the DM training programme in 2019 in the Institute.He completed undergraduation from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and later trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology from PGIMER, Chandigarh.
In addition to being a clinician par excellence he is actively involved in research.
He has published more than 80 papers in peer reviewed indexed journals. He was awarded the “Honorary National Professor” by the Indian Medical Association – College of General Practitioners in 2015.
He was the Finance Secretary of the Endocrine Society of Tamilnadu&Puducherry 2013-16 and currently the Vice- President of the Society.His special interest include gonadal disorders, metabolic bone diseases diabetes and thyroid disorders. He is team player with a firm proponent of “together we can”.
